Do I need to install anything?

No. It's a WhatsApp chat. You tap the button, WhatsApp opens, you send the first message — that's the entire sign-up. No app, no account, no card.

Why a country and not just a language?

Portuguese in Lisbon isn't Portuguese in São Paulo. Different words, different accent, different small talk. You pick a place, so the language you practise matches somewhere real rather than an average of several.

What if I don't understand a word of it?

Send ? and the cat breaks its last message down for you. There's also a dial: at one end everything comes with a translation, at the other end nothing does. Say scale to move it, any time.

Does it correct my mistakes?

Mid-conversation, without grading you. It folds the fix into its next reply — "you'd say it this way here" — and carries on. Ask why and you get the actual explanation.

What does it cost?
